Identity Verification Notice

What happens when you verify your identity with Didit.

Data sent to Didit

Didit receives the government identity document, Active 3D face video and liveness signals, and device/session information needed to complete verification. If you choose or replace your primary profile photo, Didit also receives that photo and a short-lived verified-session portrait to confirm that the photo shows the same person. Do not start verification or submit a primary photo unless you consent to this biometric processing.

Data BeFrie receives

BeFrie receives and stores feature statuses, liveness method and score, the document birth date, face-match scores, warning codes, provider request/session identifiers, and audit events. BeFrie does not store the raw identity document, selfie, liveness video, or Didit portrait.

Purpose and choices

Verification is required before you can host or join a group or activity. It is used to enforce the 18+ requirement and reduce impersonation and unsafe accounts. You may decline and delete your BeFrie account, but groups, activities, and chats will remain unavailable.
